Random thoughts

I woke up very early this morning... can't sleep
I don't feel so good about all these... about what's happening and not sure about what's gonna happen next?
People starts to pour in negative thoughts again. I think i'm easily influenced by their negativities. It's scary...

I worried for my future.. worrying is a sin.

*take deep breath*

What's past has past... no point...

Today onward, is a new start...

I've been putting behind the thoughts of having a professional taken photograph. Yes, i'm a bimbo too..
So, before i get too old and ugly and saggy skin everywhere, today I'm going to Queenbay to join the Estee Lauder Model search...

things i wan to change

I can't believe that i hate this job so much!

Wait, maybe i don't hate the job, i just hate the people i work with and the way they manage things.

Never in my work life have i longed to be out of the company so badly!

I'm finally out of here... going off to a new place soon.

ok.. all the bad things.. be gone!!!! New things come!!!!

**************
I want to change myself. A fresh new start.

This whole month, i'm gonna get a good rest and arrange my thoughts and my perception about life and what's it all about.

1. Put God as my first priority! (yes, i'm guilty of neglecting God.. :(
2. Continue to serve in children ministry or explore other new ministry
3. earn money with God in mind
4. try more outdoor activities (yes, yes.. i'm guilty of being a sleeping pig and puteri lilin... i'm slowly learning ok? CY, i admire your outdoor spirit.. if only i have half of it.. :(
5. do jobs that makes me happy
6. social more ( i think i'm getting abit anti-social eversince i got this job)
7. live a health life ( exercise, eat healthy, cut down on junk food)
8. save Mother nature (don't really know how, perhaps by recycle, don't simply throw rubbish, service the car frequently, protest on the bas kilang... Bas Kilang is horrible as they emit very black smoke from the exhaust, killing trees, birds & human too by polluting the air)

ok... i think that's all i can think of the things that i wan myself to change... will update if there's more...

oh gosh... i'm sooo flawed... :(

Last day

*This post is written in an agry mood!*

I've decided to end my days at work 2 days earlier. Simply because they can't wait to kick me out as well.

Who do they think i am? to simply push and move me around? I'm only here for 2 more days.. just 2 more days... not 2 more months.

She asked: only 2 more days, why are u angry?
I said: exactly.. 2 more days, why the sudden change of arrangement? Don't you think such arrangement is stupid?

Yes, I'm mad!
I don't normally show my anger, but that doesn't gives you the right to push me around!

Good bye all the losers! I'm out of there!

permission not granted

newbie girl walkes into the office carrying a box. She's clueless what's inside the box. Funny guy got excited for her, grabbed the box from her and say, "hey.. how come u got this? I should get this too.." (He don't even know what is it inside) "Come, i open for you... tearing off all the tapes on the box and remove the paper" (Without asking permission from the girl)

While he's happily tearing off something that DON'T belong to him, my manager had a look at the paper.... eh.. this is not yours lar... it belong to someone else, faster return to security and let them know the mistake.

Lesson learnt : If it's not yours, don't open it.

new toy

Mount Sinai

I was suddenly awake and someone whisperred something and i only managed to catch the word "Mount Sinai"
What does it mean?

Mount Sinai is the place where God gave the 10 commandments to the people of Israel after He had delivered them from slavery in Egypt.

Exodus 20
1 And God spoke all these words:
2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
3 "You shall have no other gods before me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments. 7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
13 "You shall not murder.
14 "You shall not commit adultery.
15 "You shall not steal.
16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

Perhaps it's His way of reminding me not to commit sin and to observe these 10 commandments.
"Lord, I'm sorry. Please forgive me for I have sinned. I don't need to declare these sins, but You know what I've done & what my sinful thoughts are. Thank you for Your reminder. Amen"

What we can do to help

Watching news lately is a very disturbing matter. Wars, natural disaster, politics, crime and economy: All these only brings bad news.
Watching how the China people still searching for their love one underneath all the ruins are heart wrenching.
Imagine yourself in their shoes.
Imagine your love one is trapped somewhere out there.
Imagine yourself being trapped down there.
Imagine no food & no water for 3 or 4 days, with limited air.

We are very lucky to be here. still able to go to work, like nothing happen. Drive nice car, dine in fancy restaurant, has the luxury to choose wht you wish to eat. has the luxury to choose what BRAND of mineral water you want, what flavor of soft drink you like, even has the luxury to loose weight and goes on diet.

What are you willing to do to help to make this world a slightly better place?
- Pray. Pray for the lost souls. pray for those that have lost their love one. pray for those that are trapped underneath.
- Don't waste food. if you can't finish it, share. Sharing is caring.
- Donate to proper channel to ensure that the money goes to the right person.
- Switch off things that you don't need to use. If you are in your room, switch off the light in your hall, your dining room, kitchen, switch off your fan, air-con, TV if you are not going to watch it.
- Use timer for Air-con. yes, i know the weather in Malaysia is too freaking hot. If you really need to use air-con, use timer, so that you just use it for a limited time only rather than switching it on for the whole night or whole day.
- Enjoy the morning breeze. If the traffic is not too heavy, wind down the window and enjoy some outside air.
- recycle. the most basic thing. if the paper only have 1 side of printing, use the other page for either another printing or use it to write down messages, rather than taking a fresh paper to do so.
- Water. In the end, it's still water. doesn't matter if the brand is X, Y or Z. ingredient is still the same: water, H2O, air.

what else you can think of? These are the things i've been practicing. Anything that you guys practice that I don't know? please share.

wishes

Have you ever wish that certain situation, you can help to make some changes?

Situation at home became worst after I left home 3 years ago and my sister left to university 1 year ago.
Right now, I'm not sure going to UK is to fullfil my personal dream or just merely running away further from responsibility as a daughter?

I feel sorry for her; leaving her alone most of the times.
Leaving her with no one to talk to.
He has done nothing to help her. In fact, i think it's because of him, she's suffering in silence.
Does she knows what he's doing to her? I don't know.
I am angry everytime i thought about the messages he "accidentally" kept in his phone.
I am angry everytime that person calls him during family dinner.

I wish i can take her with me to UK. I wish to give her a better life.

I dreamt about him passed away a few days ago. He asked if I'm sad. I didn't answer but I think i'm not. It's cruel but i think what he's doing to her is even more cruel.

Perhaps life without him will be much much better?

stupid entry

Today CG during prayers time, they pray for him for UK trip....

erm... what about me... I'm going too... i need job wisdom too...i need directions too.

I guess the CG actually will miss him more than me. As without him, left Andrew to play guitar. With or without me, CG can still pretty much survive. In fact, it won't make much difference... just short of 1 people.. that's all.

I guess the feeling that i'm feeling now is unappreciated. :(

or maybe I'm jealous of him? siau... jealous of own bf...

I don't know what I'm talking abt now... damn...

I think I'm being insecure again...

PMS coming?

can i cry?

temptation

should i buy or not?
It's just a basic camera, which i think it's fine with me as i'm just a beginner in this thing. The reason i'm thinking of buying a cam for myself is i had enough of waiting for people to load those photos for me... :(
I want to have my own cam so that i can load it anytime anywhere I want and i can post it on my blog! :)
Now that i'm going to UK, it's even more logical for me to own one so that i can stay in-touch with my friends and show them how fat i've grown...
........
........
........
darn.. that doesn't sound very good...
anyway... should i or should i not? expensive wor..... :(
any sponsor?

The Journey of Mt KK (Day 3)

25th April 2008

1.30am – woke up to someone’s alarm and also by the noise outside. Oh gosh.. The room is so stuffy… can barely breathe… wait… could it be the thin air? Neh… I’m sure it’s the room that’s stuffy. Apparently, the hot water there is only available at certain hours.. Gosh.. The air outside is much cooler. There are lots of people walking in and out of the corridor and there’s already a queue in the washroom. 2 toilet & 2 shower room – not enough lar… I pop the altitude sickness pill – just in case – after such hard climb yesterday, I better make sure I reach the bloody top!

I need ur fat to warm me.. :p

It's friday at 2.25am with the temp of 8 degree

2.30am – we head out after a short prayer. Temperature is showing at 8 degree Celsius. Headlamp on, gloves on, alright.. We are all set to go. Again, thank God for the good weather as there’s no rain again! Wow.. Amazing right!! As we slowly make our way up, the rocks and trail are quite slippery due to yesterday evening rain. Can’t imagine what would it be like if it’s raining at that time.. it might turn out to be a mini waterfall…
Thin cold air and runny nose is not helping me to go any faster.. Sigh… slowly, we are dividing to 2 groups again, Mel, WM & David in the faster group, myself, dom & geoff are the slower group. I think I slowed them down.. :s but slowly, the 2 boys slow down too, we have to leave geoff behind as Dom is having muscle cramp and he wish to move on fast to forget about the pain. It’s painful to see him limping on one leg especially on the rocky part.

Before ditching Geoff... sorry...

The sky is very clear and most of us switch off our headlamp as the moon light is bright enough to guide us. Looking back is just a clear view of KK town sleeping peacefully. At this part, we didn’t take much photos as we try to make it to the top with Dom struggling on with the strength 1 leg only.

5.30am – We can see the sun rising slowly but surely. We know that we have missed the sun rise from the peak. I’m not disappointed with that as my focus is to reach the top. That’s all. Sun rise is just a plus point for me.

6.00am – Finally, we’ve made it! I’m the 4th to arrive in our group.. Not too bad lar hor.. hehe… as Dom slowly make his way up, we all got prepare. The moment he reached the peak, we sing “Happy Birthday” to him and the rest of the hikers join in… It’s a wonderful moment and stupid me, forgot to capture that moment… )(@^#$*#$%
Stupid… stupid…stupid…

Yeah... can see the signboard de!! few more steps!

We made it! :)

Birthday boy on the peak! :)

The hike down is scary, most of the time, the guide has to grab my hand and lead me down as my knees are weak at the sight of such great height! :s

kissing the rock

The view change as we go lower... beautiful

10am – we arrive at Laban rata at around 10 plus. Once I sit down, I’ve got no energy at all to get up to get breakfast… so tired. We have to pack up fast as the check out time is 11am. No time to shower and no hot water to shower… but it’s not hot or sweaty anyway. It’s raining outside and we are glad we made it in time again before the heavy rain.
God is really on our side all the way!

getting to go down

The hike down is horrible… it’s down… down… down.. It’s so tiring and my knees are giving up already… along the way, we saw a porter carry a gas tank up… can you believe that?! A freaking gas tank!!!! My God! Right now, if any of you complain that your job is tough, try theirs!! Carrying what seems to be a 30kg tank and hike up about 5m to delivery and then hike down with an empty tank on the same day, anyone interested?

4.30pm – made it finally to Timpohon gate. Mel, David, Eunice & Caroline are waiting for us and so is our van driver. He droved us to KK park to let us have our late lunch and grab our luggage as well as our hard-earned certificates.

It’s been a crazy experience for me… I’m definitely not a big fan of hiking and normally I’ll go hiking if it only there are some fun activities involved.
Making it to the top of Mt KK without any injury (except for a bruise on my butt when I slip and landed on my right butt while going down..hehe..)… hey… I’m very proud of myself!

Happy Birthday Dom! :)

A round of applause pls...

Weekend

i went to water rafting with the Maps people on last saturday. They are a great bunch of people or at least i think they are.. hehe.. Joseph is the person in charge for that day as he's the one that has most knowledge on this activity. He taught us on doing rescue, climbing up to the raft, body rafting.

We managed to sqeeze 3 rounds of water rafting on that day and it's damn tired. The first round, i'm on the same raft with Joseph, Hui Ling & Wei Liang. Our raft a bit senget because Wei Liang is bigger size and the 3 of us are smaller size compare to him.. hehe.. at one of the rapids, our raft hit the rocks and me & hui Ling was thrown out of the raft... hehe... that was fun, so they actually have to do rescue on us.. :p

Dom is in another raft with Jason & Alex. Their raft got stuck and Dom has to go down and push the raft. As he pushed it away, the raft also floats away without him...haha... the sight is really hillarious...

All and all, i enjoyed myself on that outing and evening time, we drove back to Dom's grandma's place to spend a night there. I always love seeing her cause despite the old age and the laidback kampung living condition, she's always smilling and happy... :)

men & women

ya ya... my day 2 of KK is not up yet... it's taking longer than i thought because don't have the photos with me.. be patient ok darlings! :)

Man & woman think differently... don't you all agree? very good example of what happen last night...

Last night, we met up at QB to have dinner and suppose to shop together for tonight's gathering. But because he got work to do, so i do the shopping alone.. that's fine with me cos I actually prefer to shop without a man rushing me to finish off.. man.. ish... gotta learn to be patient lar these people..

anyway... after shopping, i was expecting him to go to my place to help out in preparing the ingredient.. ended up... i finish doing everything already.. 11pm.. still no sign of him, no phone call..

me being the more sensitive half, was a little worried.. you know.. JUST in case something happen to him or caught up in heavy workload, decided to call and check on him...

Conversation as below:
Me : hello... eh.. where r u now?
Him: at home lar.. where else...
Me: oh.. just checking lor... bla..bla...bla
Him: bla..bla..bla... so finish doing the preparation already? what r u doing now?
Me: Yalor.. going to sleep liaw...
Him: then why u call?
Me: wah lau... call to see if u are ok o not lar... no phone call, not coming to help... thought something happen to you lar...

what the *toot* right??!!!! I think if 1 day i disappear lar or kena kidnapped... he probably will only find out on the newspaper and not when he can't call me...

#(@&#%!@!

The Journey of Mt KK (Day 2)

24th April 2008

Trail colored in Pink is the trail we took on first day, Trail colored in Green is the trail we took to the peak, Trail colored in Orange is the trail we took from the peak to Timpohon gate! :s
5.30am - Green Day starts to sing from my phone... Dang.. do we really have to wake up so early? It's sooo cold.... Thank God for the heavy rain last night, the sky is super clear now.. none of the ladies are brave enough to jump into the shower.. washing face is already a torture.. :s The boys however try to prove their machoness brave the cold water and came out trying very hard to control their body shivering... haha... boys and their ego..

8.30am- After a hearty breakfast and Dom finishing off 4 eggs, 1 glass of oats, 1 sausage, 3 or 4 toast and pisang goreng, we are all set for Mesilau Trail. The drive to the Mesilau trail is beautiful. It's 15km away from the Kinabalu park and it's about half an hour ride on a winding road with many beautiful views of the mountain itself.

Before the hike - all still looking fresh

9.00am - Reach the Mesilau gate, the guide brief us on the trail as well which stop we all will have lunch. Our luggages weight about 60kg.. :s and it will be distributed to 2 porters only!! siau right?! per person carry 30kg go up... wah lau... shit bricks lar!!!

Briefing by the guide
9.30am - The hike begin! The initial phase is fine, going up, flat road, then up some more and it's just like normal jungle trail.. then after that... there's one part where we keep on going down that it scares me for awhile.. I mean.. Mt KK... aren't we suppose to climb UP... not going down further... cham... don't tell me it's the wrong trail.. :s
1.5km.. dying already.. :(

going down...

soon.. we saw our porter with our loads.. phew... thank God it's not the wrong trail!! The journey is crazily long... lots of time, me & geoff keeps questioning ourself... why are we torturing ourself like this...

our porter is like superman.. geoff follows at the back..

We pass by the waterfall... my God... with this kind of torture, the water looks damn inviting.. how i wish i can jump into it and just forget about the bloody hike! But i'm forced to continue as there's a purpose to it...

The journey of going down soon comes to an end and now it's all going upward... the view gets nicer by every steps upward. The air is cooler too... Thank God that it didn't rain and the weather is as clear as it can be. Mist will come occasionally and turn the whole place into dreamland and it's just so beautiful.
Instead of describing the scene which i sux at it, i'll just post some pics for your enjoyment! :)

Mist...
Dreamland...

dreamland
i hate stairs...

still no sight of laban rata.. :(

5/5.30pm - Finally, civilization!! I saw a hut and i thought it's Laban Rata... but it's not.. it's another few more steps to Laban Rata... damn... why they are so far away? :(

So happy to see Laban Rata... hehe...by the time we reach there, WM & Mel already showered..

men wif muscle
wah lau... these supergirls... didn't waste a single cent of their gym membership lar!! David was outside welcoming us... haha... from far can spot his red jacket & red pants! hehe...
When we arrived, the temp is showing 11 degree celsius...
Then later in the evening, dom drag my lazy bum out to "acclimatize" ourself with the weather, the temp drop to 9 degree celsius.

Night - We all are tired but all find it hard to sleep, probably it's too early to be sleeping (i'm guessing the time should be around 9-ish) or maybe it's the thin air. All 8 of us are in 1 dorm and it's kinda stuffy to be honest. There's a heater there but we didn't turn it on cos our body heat is enough to warm the whole room. WM, Dom & David already start to complain of headache, Mel's feeling a tad difficult to breathe and same goes for me too..Geoff... he's too tired to notice anything.. hehe...sign of old age.. :p
Day 3 coming up....

The Journey of Mt KK (Day 1)

23rd April 2008

8.15am - The journey started with me, dom, mel & david arriving a little too early at the airport. Me & dom have to be early because my housemate send us there and she starts work at 8.30am. David & Mel pulak got the flight time wrong.. haha

9.40am - Enjoying our Nando's meal and chit chatting, we realised it's not early anymore. As we are making our way through, we met our other gang, Geoff & WM and they told us to hurry up because the gate is closing in 10 minutes time. We ran to check in, ran again to the custom and it's one hell of a long queue. Don't know why, on that particular day, there's soooooo many people there.. Chinese say it "People mountain People Sea"

while queuing.. Caroline, Eunice, Dom, myself & Mel

10.15am - we were the last to board the plane.. :s (That's how late we were..)

1pm - Despite a bad experience with the car arrangement, this year, they are pretty impressive! Last year, we waited for 3 hours for the bloody van, but this time, they are ready and waiting for us with a board that says "Ms Jennifer" hahaha... my friends laughed at the sign... The van is new, plenty of space for our luggages and the road tax is current.. great! The journey to KK park begins shortly after we had our lunch and bought water supply as well as a headlamp for myself.

We seems to love KFC in KK as the last trip we went, our lunch was also KFC. This time round, same thing.. :s

3pm - The journey to KK park seems sooo much shorter compare to the last time we drove ourself, I still don't understand how they can make it in 2 hours where we took almost 4 hours... :s

David's special way to sleep in a van

5pm - Got our keys to our hostel. Still have plenty of time to do a little packing before we head out to attend a short briefing before our "hike the next day. Suddenly.... we hear rain drops... "Tak..Tak...Tak.." then thunder roar and the next thing is heavy rain...

Getting ready to brave the rain

6pm - Reluctantly, everyone took out their Ponchos, rain coat & jacket and change to shorts & sandals. My God, walking under heavy rain in cold weather is seriously not fun at all! I thought i had frost bite on my toes and my fingers but it's just numb from the strong cold wind and the rain... Once we reach the reception counter, we were told that the briefing is actually in another block that we have walk back and walk past our hostel.... great... brave the strong wind and rain again

7pm - after much practice walking under the rain and strong wind, we had our dinner at a restaurant outside of the park. Food wasn't great but the hot soup sure does help to keep us warm.. The red wine david brought along helps too! :)

Dinner place..

9pm - Shower time. The receptionist told us that there's hot water in the shower... #*^$(*#$*% the hot water only lasted for 3 seconds before cold water come rushing in... &*#@*#*@%# Thank goodness for Mel's hair dryer.. it sure comes pretty handy in drying the clothes, hair and keeping the feet and hand warm too.. hehe

11pm - ZZZzz time... waking up at 5.30am the next day for Mesilau Trail
