tips for hiking in big group

Just came back from KK trip. the view is awesome and the hike is tiring... few things i learn from the hike and would like to share

i think hiking in a group of 8 person is quite difficult because we all have different speed. In the middle of the hike, we were seperated to 3 groups.
1st group is the faster moving one (Mel, Dave & WM), 2nd group is the mid-range group (me, Dom & Geoff) and the last group is the slower one (E & C).

Because E is moving too slow so E decided to hike on her own trying to catch up with us. She's angry because she thinks that we all should move in a group rather than ditching the slow moving one behind.. which i kinda agree because this is not a small hike.. it's an 8 hours hike... it's pretty bad of us to leave her hiking alone. E is fine because she has the guide with her...

So generally i think:
1. couple should hike together.
For my case, during the first hike, i suffer because of all the steps i was moving really really slow, but he waited for me. during the 2nd hike, he had a very bad cramp on his leg muscle and had to stop every 5 minutes but i waited for him. yeah, we missed the sun rise, but we made it to the top together.
In another case, in the first part of hike, Geoff suffered because all his water supply is with WM. the 2nd part of the hike, WM suffered because she left her jacket with Geoff.

2. Know your limit
i know very well that i have limited stamina therefore i opt not to carry anything at all. Luckily i persisted on it. One reason y Dom got bad cramp was because he insisted on carrying a 7kg load with him.

that's all i can think off now.. haha...
